The joint-leader after round three of the U.S. Open, Wyndham Clark, believes his tee time was too late and that he and Rickie Fowler dropped shots on the 17th and 18th hole due to “not being able to see”.
The 29-year-old understands that tee times are based on TV coverage, but says the quality of golf shouldn’t be compromised strictly for viewing purposes.
Clark revealed how much of an idol and inspiration Fowler is for him and opened up on a funny story of how they use the exact same putter.
The Colorado-born golfer also opened up on the importance of his dad, saying he hopes he can provide him with a good Father’s Day present tomorrow with his “best round still out there”.
