Punjab Kings make ‘world class’ Curran most expensive auction buy in IPL history.
Punjab Kings co-owner Ness Wadia hailed Sam Curran as ‘world class’, as the 24-year-old was bought for a record £1.85m.
The Mohali-based outfit was one of six franchises to bid for the 24-year-old.
Curran’s performances in the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup, as England became world champions, saw him named Player of the Tournament.
Wadia was also pleased to have Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international, Sikandar Raza, signed up for the new season..
