Novak Djokovic is hoping for a positive welcome from fans when he returns to Melbourne for the 2023 Australian Open.
The Australian government’s ultimately successful efforts to block his entry into the country dominated the build up to the 2022 tournament, with Djokovic opting against meeting the coronavirus entry requirements.
The Serbian, now ranked five in the world, has been playing in the mixed World Tennis League in Dubai and says he’s fit despite missing a match up with Nick Kyrgios on Wednesday.
