Thousands of fans gather in a Buenos Aires fan zone on Sunday, December 18 to watch Argentina’s final match at the 2022 World Cup against France.
Argentina reached the final of the competition after recovering from a stunning defeat on matchday one against Saudi Arabia (1-0).
The team led by seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi went on to win all its subsequent matches against Mexico, Poland, Australia, the Netherlands, and Croatia.
The Albiceleste last reached the World Cup final in 2014, where they lost to Germany (1-0) at the Maracana Stadium in Brazil.
