John Stones PRAHISES his teammate of the Manchester City, Phil Foden.
John Stones says England are lucky to have Manchester City team-mate Phil Foden ahead of their round of 16 clash with Senegal at the FIFA World Cup.
Stones praised his defensive partner Harry Maguire for responding to pre-tournament criticism, following a lack of form and game time for Manchester United.
The 28-year-old also believes the return of City team-mate Kyle Walker will be key for England’s chances of progressing in Qatar, with the full back’s pace a key attribute.
Following the surprise exits of Germany and Belgium, Stones insists Gareth Southgate’s side will not drop their standards and be another big nation to leave the tournament.
