Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte said he was joking when he recently said the club might sack him before the end of the season.
Conte made the remark following Tottenham’s 0-0 draw with Milan last week, that consequently saw them dumped out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage.
Endless questions have arisen this season surrounding the Italian’s future at the club, particularly after his recent spell away from the sidelines while he recovered from gallbladder surgery.
Spurs face bottom side Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, as they continue to battle for a place in the top four.
