Aaron Rodgers BREAKS RANKS over handling of Damar Hamlin game.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spoken out about his concerns over the handling of the Bills-Bengals game that saw Damar Hamlin need on-pitch treatment for a cardiac arrest.
Rodgers was clearly upset by reports that the teams were given “5 minutes to warm up” and re-start the match, which was eventually abandoned.
The NFL claims that didn’t happen, but US broadcaster ESPN stood by their story.
He also said the NFL’s introduction of a 17th game showed the league’s true attitude to player safety.
The Packers can clinch a wild card by beating the Detroit Lions in their final game of the season.
39-year-old Rodgers says he’ll look at his future once their campaign over, having been part of the Packers since 2005. He’s a four-time league MVP.
