WATCH: The Hat dispute CONTINUES with Welsh Fans over the RAINBOW.
Wales fans described themselves as ‘stubborn’ ahead of their Group B match with Iran following a dispute between FIFA and the Welsh FA over rainbow-themed bucket hats.
The hats, created in partnership with the FAW to represent the LGBTQ+ community, had been confiscated ahead of their 1-1 opening Group B draw with the United States, as same-sex relationships are illegal in Qatar.
Highlighting the bucket hat as being central to their identity, most supporters thanked the FAW for refusing to back down.
