Craig Tiley EXPECTS Australian crowd TO WELCOME Novak Djokovic back.
Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley expects the public to welcome back Novak Djokovic after he was deported from the country ahead of the 2022 tournament.
The unvaccinated Serbian missed the event in January after the Australian government sent him home over his Covid-19 beliefs.
Djokovic is now eligible to enter the country and play in next month’s tournament, and Tiley is confident the ‘well-educated sporting public’ will give the 35-year-old a positive welcome.
