Both Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev are disappointed that world number one, Carlos Alcaraz, has had to pull out of the Australian Open through injury.
The pair feel the tournament will suffer as a whole without the Spaniard and have wished him a speedy recovery.
Djokovic and Medvedev met in the semi-final of the Adelaide International 1 on Saturday, with the Serbian coming out on top in straight sets, with Djokovic saying he ‘couldn’t have asked for more’.
