Rory McIlroy explained why he blanked Patrick Reed before the Dubai Desert Classic.
The LIV Golf star was filmed throwing a tee at the World No.1 after being blanked.
McIlroy explained that he ‘didn’t feel the need to acknowledge him’ after being ‘subpoenaed by his lawyer on Christmas Eve’ as part of Reed’s defamation case against the PGA Tour.
The 33-year-old also admitted that he was ‘mentally drained’ at the end of the year due to LIV Golf.
