Rory McIlroy DELIGHTED after WINNING third Dubai Desert Classic.
Rory McIlroy admitted he was delighted to win a third Dubai Desert Classic, joining Ernie Els as the player to win the most titles in Dubai.
McIlroy faced pressure on the last day from Patrick Reed – the American carded a seven-under-par final round to ultimately finish one stroke short.
Reed and McIlroy locked horns earlier in the week when the Northern Irishman refused to shake the LIV golfer’s hand, resulting in Reed throwing a tee at McIlroy.
The world number one said it wasn’t his best performance, but he was happy to win a title when not playing to his best.
