New Belgium head coach Domenico Tedesco vows to make talisman Kevin De Bruyne smile again after a subdued World Cup in Qatar.
The Manchester City maestro has regularly delivered high-level moments for his club, but has struggled to transfer that to the international stage.
Tedesco also revealed he asked his agent to apply for the vacant role while at a doctor’s appointment.
The former Schalke, Spartak Moscow and RB Leipzig boss has signed a contract until after the 2024 European Championship.
The 37-year-old replaces Roberto Martinez, who left the role after six years at the helm.
