Jurgen Klopp WANTS that Liverpool FC FIGHT for top four in Premier League.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp says that John Henry’s statement about increased investment means that he’ll be able to refresh other parts of his team in the summer, but refused to be drawn into names amid speculation that Jude Bellingham is top of his wish list.
Henry spoke about Fenway Sports Group’s commitment to Liverpool, saying it was ‘stronger than ever’ and insisting that they would continue to ‘invest wisely’ in the playing squad.
Champions League football is vital to the club’s finances and Klopp reiterated that his team must ‘fight’ for a spot in the top four, knowing a win against Bournemouth at the weekend will be enough to elevate them above Spurs into fourth, if only for a few hours.
Liverpool are on a high after thrashing arch-rivals Manchester United 7-0, with Klopp insisting there is no better ‘mood-booster’ going into the next round of games.
