Oscar Pistorius LOSES parole hearing as ‘not served minimum detention period’.
Former South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius, currently sentenced for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, has been denied parole.
Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend in 2013, claiming that he mistook her for an intruder. He was convicted for homocide in 2014, and murder in 2016.
Pistorius is next eligible for release in August 2024, with the current Supreme Court stating that he has not yet served his minimum amount of time before being released.
