Pep Guardiola is HAPPY that Lampard RETURNS to the ‘club he loves’.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is delighted Frank Lampard has returned to Chelsea.
The former midfielder will take charge of the Blues until the end of the season after they sacked Graham Potter last weekend.
Guardiola revealed that he was in contact with Lampard when he was manager at Everton, and this was a ‘new opportunity with the club that he loves’.
The Man City boss also remarked that when he was young, the Premier League ‘had a tradition of keeping managers’, with the league breaking the record for most sackings this season.
